I try too.
In my twenties I was notorious for scoffing biscuits and other junk, I still have the little things I buy nowadays but I'm hoping to cut them out too. Ever since I embraced the gym 3 - 4 years ago and now fitness I try and watch what I eat. A few years ago I just said NO to the crap stuff. That's part of how you can stay trim, you just have to be firm with yourself and say STOP! Stop buying this crap! Then just do do, just cut it out and replace it with something with more substance.
I'm by no means a model dietary guru though, I can't even admit to 5-a-day. (Fruit and vegetables) I mean that's what they say but who actually does have 5-a-day?! I like keeping apples in the fruit bowl, grapes, although they never last long, always bananas of course. Over the last few years I've gotten on too dried fruit, which I never - ever, thought I would. I prefer the little bags of exotic fruit mix I can get though. I l;imit my pasta and rice, but once in blue moon I might have chips from the chip shop. My favourite thing to do these days is make wraps with tortilla wraps, Iceberg lettuce and baby plum tomatoes, alternating it with other fillings on other days. They're very, very easy and quick to make too.
So do you try and eat healthily too? If so why? or why not?
