Was listening to s podcast this morning and tehy were talking about waking up 1000 years later and would it be any different and it got me thinking.
I don't think it would much, they'd still be a lot recognisable. Sure in the last 1000 years the english language have changed, more world wars, electricty, industrialization, mobile commmunication, the internet etc etc. If you went 1000 years from now however, I don't think there would be that greater change, so this got me thinking what if you woke up 1 million years later?
Say (And assume) they've managed carbon freezing/cryogenic freezing and it's all safe, secure and tested. You wake up in your pod and it's a million years later. You might not be where youwere in the world as a lot can happen in 1 million years, but your given some light garments/clothing to change into (Maybe they can cantrol the climate by then) and you leave the warehouse/lab or whereever you have been stored. Any medical issues you have had have been fixed in cryo-sleep. You leave the compound and see others maybe others walking up or staff that control the centre - what do you see?
We coould have alien species (Insect people?) or robots just interegrated into our society by then who knows? How would you react act if you'd just woke up after a million years and saw that? Would you intergrate or just not be able to rationalize and heart attack on the spot? Keep in mind you could still walk out and then get hit by a bus (Or whetever forms a bus by then/replaces them if they're even needed still around). What would you expect to see with transport, technology etc?
